Because 1 furlong = 1/8 miles, therefore
1,440 furlongs = 1440*(1/8) = 180 miles
At a speed of 60 miles/hour, the time taken to travel 1,440 furlongs is
(180 miles)/(60 miles/hour) = 3 hours
Answer: 3 hours
