This book is about a man called winston who is in a society where everything is under the control of big brother. Everyone has to love big brother but winston doesnt. He meets Julia and falls in love with her which is forbidden. He then speaks to O Brien Who he thinks feels the same way about big brother as he does. However, O brien double crosses him and makes him lose his sense of humanity
