So, the answer would be C: and but, let me explain why.
If you take each word and put it in the sentence you would see that most dont make sense.
Bill BUT Latisha took a taxi to the airport. The sentence sounds horrible when using A: but. To use A it would be in a sentence like so; I like the color purple BUT, not in that shade. It's kind of therefore to tell the other side of something-good or bad.
Now let's use B: or, next. Bill OR Latisha took a taxi to the airport. If they have more than one person, there would be no use for or. To use or, it's giving you two options. It kind be used like this; Do I want to go swimming OR go get ice cream with my siblings.
Even though I already stated that C is the correct answer I will be giving another example of how it can be used and still be right to add on to my point. Take this sentence for example, I like candy, popcorn AND ice cream. Even though I had another thing to thw list, the sentence still makes complete sense. It's just for listing many things.
Lastly, we will be looking at choice D: for. Bill FPR Latisha took a taxi to the airport. Other than it just not sounding right I will tell you what it means. We are not allowed to plagiarize things but, we are allowed to cite them so I will do so now. "1. Seeing that, since. 2. Because." That was from dictionary.com in the section that states CONJUNCTIONS and will be found if you scroll down, I would place a link but, it's considered copying. I'm sure you can find it on your own if you look it up.
Like I said C: and is correct.
I hope this helps!!
