At start Vanita`s odometer shows 54,250 and in Washington, D.C. shows 54,538.
54,538 - 54,250 = 288
So the trip was 288 miles long.
In her gas tank was 9 gallons at start.
288 : 9 = 32 miles per gallon.
Answer:
A. 32
