How did Renaissance art differ from earlier periods in terms of painting technique?

Renaissance art developed some more stylistic choices. It introduced more advanced concepts of depth and colour. Before, a lot of paintings were quite dull and plain. The Renaissance revolutionised art with a much more bright tone and more depth for a deeper immersion. =)

Renaissance was a period of ancient history, marked by the curiosity, and the questioning of old beliefs.

In Art, the Renaissance can really be identified with Humanism, which in simple words, put humans in the center. Also, in painting, for example, there were new techniques, such as a different use of proportion, Foreshotening, Stumato, Chiaroscuro, etc.
