I made a fort for my pet gorilla by connecting two boxes. The first box is 5 meters long, 9 meters wide, and 9 meters high. The second box is 3 meters long, 8 meters wide, and 2 meters high. How many cubic meters of space does my gorilla have to play in her fort?

You just need to find the volumes of the two boxes and add them up. Hope this helps!

Answer:

453\ m^(3)

Explanation:

we know that

The cubic meters of space does the gorilla have to play in her fort is equal to adds the volume of the first box and the volume of the second box

The volume of the box is equal to

V=LWH

so

Find the volume of the first box

V1=5*9*9=405\ m^(3)

Find the volume of the second box

V2=3*8*2=48\ m^(3)

Adds V1 and V2

405\ m^(3)+48\ m^(3)=453\ m^(3)
