We are asked in the problem to determine the change in the behavior or face of the graph from cos x to cosx / 6. i attached two graphs that correspond to each function. For cos x the amplitude is equal to 1 while with cosx / 6, the amplitude or the height of the curves is reduced to 1/6 of the original height. The period of the two functions is the same as the variables of x inside the trigonometric function are both equal to x. This means the answer would have to be the function is shanked down to 1/6 in height.
