Item 18 You estimate that a puppy weighs 12 pounds. The actual weight of the puppy is 14 pounds. Find the percent error. Round your answer to the nearest hundredth of a percent.

Hi!

First find how much you were off by.

14-12=2

Now set up a proportion and cross multiply to solve.


(2)/(14) (x)/(100)

2 x 100 = 200
200/14 = 14.29

The answer is 14.29%
