−3x^2 + 6x − 9
= -3(x^2 - 2x + 3)

First factor out the GCF
-3(x^2-2x+3)
To check, multiply what you took out by each term in the trinomial and make sure it's the same
-3*x^2=-3x^2
-3*-2x=6x
-3*3=-9
