Find the x-intercepts by setting the function equal to 0
0 = 2x^2 - 3x - 2
Factor
2x^2 - 4x + x - 2 = 0
2x(x - 2) + 1(x - 2) = 0
(x - 2)(2x + 1) = 0
x - 2 = 0
x = 2
2x + 1 = 0
2x = -1
x = -1/2
the x-intercepts are at x = -1/2 & 2
