y = 6tan((x)/(2)) - 3

Let y = 0, since the x-intercept occurs at y = 0.

3 = 6tan((x)/(2))

tan((x)/(2)) = (1)/(2)

(x)/(2) = tan^(-1)((1)/(2))

x = 2tan^(-1)((1)/(2))

x = 0.927295218...

\text{General form: } x = 0.9273 + n\pi

We know this because the tangential graph is period every pi radians. The sinusoidal and co-sinusoidal graph are periodic every 2pi radians.
