Continuation pay is an incentive designed to encourage members to continue serving at critical points in their career and may be provided to you mid-career for your commitment to at least 3 additional years of service.
Continuation pay often given to one of the most experienced employees that held a very crucial position within the company. They give this kind of pay in order to obtain enough time to find/train the new replacement.
