The answer is myelin sheath. The myelin sheath is an enormously broadened and adjusted plasma film wrapped around the nerve axon in a winding design [1]. The myelin layers begin from and are a piece of the Schwann cells in the peripheral nervous system (PNS) and the oligodendroglial cells in the central nervous system (CNS).
