What is the process that you need to follow in order to prove a circle?

The radii has to have the exact same length. The definition of a circle is "a round plane figure whose boundaries consist of points equidistant from the center". So to prove a circle, if you don't have the exact equation for it, would be to prove the radii all the same length.
