Hello there!

16x + 9 = 9y - 2x
Add 2x to both sides to isolate y (get it by itself on one side of the equation).

16x + 2x = 18x
-2x + 2x = 0

18x + 9 = 9y
Divide both sides by 9 to solve for y.
18x / 9 = 2x
9 / 9 = 1
9y / 9 = y

We are now left with:
2x + 1 = y

I hope this helps!
