The x intercept is a point where the graph of the function, intercepts the x-axis.

So the coordinate of that point is (x, 0) , that is, y must be 0 since the point is on the x-axis.

letting y=0, we find:

10x-15y=30

10x=30

x=3

With the same logic, letting x=0, we find the y-intercept:

10x-15y=30

-15y=30

y=-2

Answer:

x- intercept : 3 [point (3, 0)]
y- intercept : -2 [point (0, -2)]
