By the Pythagorean theorem:


c= √(5^2+12^2)= √(25+144)= √(169) =13

B. Since it is the hypotenuse it has to be solved with a(squared)+b(squared)=c(squared) so:        25+144=c(squared)      then 169=c(squared)   so square 169 and you answer is: 13=c so the answer is 13
