3(x+9) to the 3/4 power=24

x = 7

Explanation:

1) Divide both sides by 3 first

2) (x+9)^(3/4) = 8

3) Take both sides of the equation and put it to 4 to get rid of the fractional exponent on the left. making this (x+9)^3=4096

4) screw it I used a calculator to get the last part since doing (x+9)(x+9)(x+9) would take years without Pascal's triangle. The answer is eventually x = 7.
