A farmer grows two types of grain in his fields. He has a seed budget of $20,000 and has spent $11,200.00 to plant wheat seed so far. If barely seed costs $52.00 per acre to plant, what is the maximum number of acres of barely the farmer can plant and still be under budget?

First find how much money he has left
20,000.00-11,200.00=8800.00
Then divide by 52.00 to find out how much seeds he can plant
8800.00 divided by 52=168.23
As the farmer must be under budget, we round down to 168.
so the farmer can plant 168 acres without going over budget
