The first thing we must do is evaluate 3^-2.
3^-2= 1/(3^2)
3^-2=1/9
Now plus this value in to the rest of the equation.
y=12*1/9
12/9 simplifies to 4/3
y=4/3

Answer:

The value of function at x = -2 is
(4)/(3).

Explanation:

Given : Function
Y=12* 3^x

We have to evaluate the given function at x = - 2

Consider the given function
Y=12* 3^x

Since, y is a function in terms of x.

So, put x = - 2 in given function.

We get,

Y=12* 3^(-2)

Since,
3^(-2)=(1)/(3^2)=(1)/(9)

Y=12* (1)/(9)

Simplify, we have,

Y=(4)/(3)

Thus, The value of function at x = 2 is
(4)/(3).
