Solve for g. Square root 6g-23=square root 12-g

Step One:
Square both sides
• (√6g-23)² = (√12-g)²
Step Two:
Expand both parentheses
• 6g-23 = 12-g
Step Three:
Add +g on both sides of the equation
• 6g+g-23 = 12-g+g
• 7g-23 = 12
Step Four:
Add +23 on both sides of the equation
• 7g-23+23 = 12+23
• 7g = 35
Step Five:
Divide /7 on both sides of the equation
• 7g/7 = 35/7
Ans: g = 5
