Thymus: immune system; thyroid: growth and development

Thyroid is located in the neck and thymus is inside the chest region. Thyroid is producing a hormone that will control growth and development. That makes thyroid suppressing drug is dangerous to a pregnant mother because it can make slow her child growth. Thymus will be smaller by age so it's mostly found on a child.
