The best answer is decreases. For example, buying in wholesale in large quantities has a much lower unit price than paying retail prices.

Buying in bulk typically means a decrease in price per item.

Retailers usually agree on selling items at a lower price per unit in exchange for the buyer purchasing much larger quantities. That is what wholesalers do. They give retailers a lower price per unit and retailers sell to consumers in higher prices because they tipically buy small quantities and make their profit.
