Basically slope is how steep a straight line is and an intercept is where a line crosses the x-axis and y-axis. It's easier to use it than it is to explain it. In a slope-intercept formula (y= mx+b) m = slope and b= y-intercept. With this info you can solve different problems and graph equations.
