The diagnostic criteria for intellectual disability include an assessment of adaptive functioning because an iq score is: an insufficient measure of impairment.
IQ scoring is considered really flawed to measure someone's intelligence because the amount of someone's IQ could fluctuate throughout the day and it does not put nervousness and unwillingness when doing the IQ test into account.
