What are the intercepts of the graphed function?

x-intercept = (–1, 0)
y-intercept = (–3, 0)
x-intercept = (0, –1)
y-intercept = (0, –3)
x-intercept = (0, –1)
y-intercept = (–3, 0)
x-intercept = (–1, 0)
y-intercept = (0, –3

we know that

The x-intercept is the value of x when the the value of y is equal to zero

and

The y-intercept is the value of y when the the value of x is equal to zero

In the graphed function we have that

the value of x when the the value of y is equal to zero is
-1

therefore

the x-intercept is equal to the point
(-1,0)

the value of y when the the value of x is equal to zero is
-3

therefore

the y-intercept is equal to the point
(0,-3)

the answer is

x-intercept = (–1, 0)

y-intercept = (0, –3)
