The answer to this question is that the surgical scissors should be present at the bedside table of the patient. The surgical scissors is needed for this case because if the Blackmore tube will be dislocated or dislodged from its position and became an obstruction to the airway of the patient, the balloon of this tube should be cut and the tube should be removed from the patient in order for the patient to breathe.
