*PLEASE HELP!!* The minimum sustained wind speed of a Category 1 hurricane is 74 miles per hour. The maximum sustained wind speed is 95 miles per hour. Write an absolute value equation that represents the minimum and maximum speeds. Let v

As per the statement:

Minimum sustained wind speed(A)= 74 miles per hour.

Maximum sustained wind speed(B) = 95 miles per hour.

Use the center and distance to write an absolute value equation:


\text{Center} = \frac{\text{A+B}}{2}

then;


\text{Center (a)} = (74+95)/(2)=(169)/(2)=84.5

Distance from the center(b)= 95-84.5 = 10.5

then;


|v-84.5| =10.5

Therefore, an absolute value equation that represents the minimum and maximum speeds is,
|v-84.5| =10.5
