This source is called past performance.

Past Performance is the most reliable source of self-confidence. An individual has certain beliefs about his capabilities, so when he view his past performances or experiences as a success there will be an increase in his self-confidence. His self-confidence will likely decrease on the other hand if he views it as failures.
