If a university wants to maintain a 14:1 ratio between students and teachers, how many teachers would be needed to accommodate 896 students?

You just divide 896 by 14 which is 64. So there would need to be 64 teachers to maintain the ratio

\cfrac{14}{1} = \cfrac{896}{x} \ \ \ \to \ \ \ x= \cfrac{896*1}{14}= 64
