Maldives is known for its pristine beaches with its blue waters and fine white sand. It is a common getaway vacation especially for rich celebrities.

Maldives is a group of islands in South Asia, particularly part of the Indian Ocean. Being a tiny archipelago, its booming industries would have to be fishing and tourism as they take advantage of the country's rich resources. In fact, 28% of Maldives' GDP comes from tourism. In contrast, Maldives has limited area for agriculture so it only plays a minor role in the country's economy.
