1. write 1/2 and 1/3 as fractions with a common denominator.
the common denominator must be a multiple of both 2 and 3, for example 6, 12, 24 etc...
let the common denominator be 24
(1/2)(12/12)=12/24
(1/3)(8/8)=8/24
2. so , 9/24, 10/24, 11/24 are all fractions between 1/2 and 1/3
