After you have the dots plotted, there are three steps to find the trend line on a scatter plot:
The first one is Draw a vertical line so that each side has the same number of data points.
The second one is mark with a special sign, the middle value in each of the two sets obtained in the previous step.
The third one is join the two marks mentioned in the point with a straight line, and extend it to the edges of the graph. This line called the trend line and this is the last step.
