you start on the y axis on -2. From there you go up 3 and right 2 in a continuous line

Begin by plotting the y-intercept, (0,-2). Can you do that?
Now place your pen on that point, (0,-2). Move 2 units to the right. Next, move 3 units up. [You will then be at (2,1).]
Now draw a straight line through the two points (0,-2) and (2,1).
