A set of data with a mean of 62 and a standard deviation of 5.7 is normally distributed. what is the value that is −1 standard deviation from the mean

Here, the mean is 62 and the std. dev. is 5.7  One standard dev below the mean is thus calculated as 62 - 5.7, or 56.3.  This is equivalent to "the mean less one std. dev.")
