The length of a rectangle is 4 cm greater than its width. the perimeter is 32 cm. find the length of the rectangle. 12 cm 18 cm 10 cm 6 cm

So say the width of the rectangle is x, then the length would be x + 4 as it's 4cm greater. So you add all of the sides and you get 4x + 8 = 32
Subtract 8 from both sides and you're left with 4x = 24.
Divide both sides by 4 to get the value of x which is 6.
6 + 4 = 10.
