What is responsible for the presence of chromosomal DNA in a transducing bacteriophage is THE RECOMBINATION BETWEEN THE BACTERIOPHAGE AND THE CHROMOSOMAL DNA. Transduction is the process by which a foreign DNA is introduced into a cell by a virus. When virus infect bacteria cells, they harness the reproduction capacity of the host cell to produce several virions.
