To what extent do you agree with the logic that when laws are too difficult or expensive to enforce, we should dispense with them? provide at least one example or counter-example to demonstrate why you feel that way.

I totally agree with the notion that laws are too difficult or expensive to enforce.

For example, when you're in defending position for a lawsuit, each counter claims that you made in order to defend your position could cost you between $12,000 - $100,000. If the case is involving patent, the cost could go up to millions.
So in some cases, it is faster and cheaper to admit defeat and make settlement rather than having to pay the legal cost.
