A truck traveling at an average rate of 45 miles per hour leaves a rest stop. Fifteen minutes later a car traveling at an average rate of 60 miles per hour leaves the same rest stop traveling the same route. How long will it take for the car to catch up with the truck

The Truck:v=x/t. x=v×t. x=45×t t is the time when they meet, starting when the Truck starts
The Car: x=60×(t-1/4). As the Car starts 15 Minuten later, you have to subtract 15 from t. As t is hours(because v is Miles per hours, instead of 15 you write 1/4
x is the Same, because when they meet, they have travelled the Same distance:. 45×t=60×(t-0,25)
45×t=,60×t-0,25×60
60×t-45×t=15
15×t=15 t=15/15=1
So i will Take the Car 1-0,25=3/4 hours
