Remember that point slope form is
y-y_1=m(x-x_1) where
m is the slope of the line and
(x_1, y_1) are the coordinates of a point it passes through. Now in the problem the lines are parallel, which means they have the same slope:
(3)/(4). So we can eliminate answer choices C and D. Now plug the coordinates
(-1,7) into the equation to get answer choice B,
y-7=(3)/(4)(x+1).
