In the given figure, the lines a and t are parallel and one line intersects them.

The two angles shown are called "same-side exterior angles" and they are supplementary.

These two angles are exterior to the parallel lines and on the same side of the transversal line.

Since the angles are supplementary, their sum must be equal to 180°


\begin{gathered} 93+(x+44)=180 \\ x=180-93-44 \\ x=43 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the value of x is 43
