Its unsustainable farming i think? With the growth rates of population and the time it takes for trees to mature, there will be a point in the near future when wood become scarce if we keep farming it at the rate we are now, and that will also destroy the ecosystems and habitats of many rare and exotic organisms

As the population increases, so does the demand for wood. However that means that the amount of trees would decrease everytime  there is a need.
