AB² = 6² + 8² = 36 + 64 = 100
AB = √100 = 10 ft

Shorter leg is AC=6 ft

AB - AC = 10 - 6 = 4 ft

The hypotenuse is 4 ft longer than the shorter leg.

x= sqrt(6^2 +8^2)

sqrt ( 100)

x=10

10-6 = 4

it is 4 feet longer than the shortest leg
