Use Pythagorean's Theorem,
a^(2)+ b^(2)= c^(2). Your a is 10 annd your b is 14. Or vice versa; it doesn't matter cuz either way you'll get the same answer.

10^(2) + 14^(2) = c^(2)

100+196= c^(2)

296= c^(2)

√(296) = \sqrt{ c^(2) }

17.205=c
