First you need to divide b by 2a.
14/2(1)
14/2 = 7

Then square that number you got.

7^2 = 49

The answer is C. 49.

To complete the square of a polynomial, use the term "(b / 2) ^ 2".

In this polynomial, the "b" term is 14.
Plug that in.

(14 / 2) ^ 2
7 ^ 2

49.

The answer is C.
