Decelerating to avoid a potential or immediate hazard is the EXECUTE STEP in IPDE process. IPDE method of driving refers to the step by step process of the principle of defensive driving, it is an organised thinking and acting process that helps one to drive safely. IPDE stands for Identify, Predict, Decide and Execute.
