Set f(x)=0 to find the zeros of the function and substitute f(x)=0 in the given equation.


x^2-13x+30=0
\text{ We know that }-13x=-10x-3x\text{.}


x^2-10x-3x+30=0

Taking out the common multiples.


x(x-10)-3(x-10)=0


(x-10)(x-3)=0


(x-10)=0,(x-3)=0


x=10,x=3

Hence the zeros of the given function are 3 and 10.
