y=2x+2, using the value in the top equation gives you:

2x-(2x+2)=7

2x-2x-4=7

-4=7

Since -4 != 7, there is no solutions to this system of equations.

2x - y = 7
-2x -2x

-y = -2x + 7
/- /- /-

y = 2x - 7
The answer is D because they have the same slope so the lines are parallel
