The amount of the wrapper that is needed in order to wrap completely the chocolate bar is equal to the surface area of the bar.

The surface area of the rectangular prism is calculated through the equation,
SA = 2LW + 2WH + 2LH

Substituting the known values,

SA = (2)(80 mm)(40 mm) + 2(40 mm)(5.5 mm) + 2(80 mm)(5.5 mm)
SA = 6400 mm² + 440 mm² + 880 mm²
SA = 7720 mm²

Thus, the least area needed to completely cover or wrap the chocolate bar is 7720 mm².
