You have to find a way to eliminate either x and y. We'll eliminate x:
2x + 3y = -5
3x - 5y = 21
2x*3 + 3y*3 = -5*3
3x*-2 + -5y*-2 = 21*-2
6x + 9y = -15
-6x + 10y = -42
19y = -57
y = -3
